Vienna Airport offers a range of services for people with reduced mobility and special needs, such as a personal escort, barrier-free stopping and parking facilities, parking discounts and apron transfer from the terminal to the plane and back.

What do you have to do to use the PRM service at Vienna Airport?

  • Please already indicate your degree of mobility impairment when booking your flight (see degree of mobility impairment on this page below).
  • Please notify your travel company or airline (Airlines at Vienna Airport) of your need for assistance at least 48 hours before departure. This way, the forwarding to the assistance service can be guaranteed.
  • You have not registered a need? No problem, come to the check-in desk of your airline, you will find help there in any case. It may just take a little longer.
  • All services are of course available around the clock and free of charge.

Use, your cab or your escort the marked free parking spaces for boarding and disembarking close to the terminal and the arrivals hall.

Will you be brought/picked up to/from Vienna Airport by private vehicle or cab?

Then use the marked free parking spaces to disembark or board and unload or load your luggage. From there, you can reach the departures hall or arrivals hall at the same level. When you arrive, please report to the mobility service in the arrivals hall or in Terminal 3, or to the check-in counter of your airline.

If you are arriving in your own vehicle, there are special disabled parking spaces marked for you.

If you have any problems entering or leaving the terminal and need assistance, call the ticket office staff at the intercom button in the area of the entry or exit barriers: they will help you as soon as possible!

The apron transfer service offers frail or disabled persons the possibility of transportation from the aircraft to the terminal and from the terminal to the aircraft in a specially equipped minibus.

(According to the EU Directive (EC) 1107/2006, the responsibility of assistance to persons with reduced mobility (PRM) in air transport is assumed by the airports).
